Eyelash extensions enhance the length, curl, fullness and thickness of natural lashes by applying an extension on to each human lash.

They are made of either synthetic mink, silk, Siberian mink, and even human hair is offered. Synthetic mink and silk lashes, made from PBT fibers, are the most popular in the market today. The difference between the two is the shape and the finish. Silk lashes tend to be made with satin gloss with a slightly thinner tip. Whereas, mink lashes have a thicker tapered tip and are semi-glossy. At honeyLash & Co., we only use mink lashes.

Classic lashes are the most thick in diameter. It involves applying one extension to one natural human lash. Clients who are new to lash extensions or prefer a slight enhancement to his/her lashes can choose this type of set. It is comparable to applying 3 coats of mascara. We recommend clients to refill at 2 weeks, 3 weeks at most.

Volume lashes consist of applying 2 or more lash extensions onto one natural human lash. The style can vary from a very natural fluffy set to a very glamour full set. Clients who choose this set preferably want more fullness, desire a more fluffy look than classic lashes and find more comfort with a lighter feel and flexibility. We recommend clients to refill from 2 to 4 weeks. They tend to hold long as the extensions are more flexible than the classic lash extensions.

Hybrid lashes involve both applications of classic and volume lashes. This type of set is usually recommended for one time occasions as refills are recommended at 2 weeks because classic lash extensions tend to shed faster than the volume extensions. We recommend clients to refill at 2 weeks, 3 weeks at most.

This entirely depends on two main factors including the technician's application and the client’s aftercare and maintenance. At honeyLash, we use great quality glue and properly apply the extensions on clients’ healthy natural lashes. Clients are to follow up with the aftercare and carefully maintain the lashes. With the combination of the two factors, the lash extensions should last up to 2-3 weeks with shedding before the next refill depending on the type of set the client has chosen. Without refills, clients can see retention to last up to 6 weeks.

Depending on the set chosen by the client, classic and hybrid lash sets take about 2 hours, whereas volume sets can take about 3 hours to complete.

At honeyLash, we offer 3 different types of refills.

The standard refill takes about 1 hour, recommended at 2-3 weeks after the initial set.

The max refill takes about 90 mins, recommended 3 to 4 weeks after the initial set.

We also offer the mini touch up that takes up to 30 mins, recommended at 1-2 weeks after the last appointment. It does not replace a refill and is only offered to clients with honeyLash’ sets.

A fill consists of the lash technician assessing the lashes to remove grown out extensions and reapply new extensions.
You must have 40% of your extensions remaining for it to be considered a fill. Anything less will be charged as a full set.

Our glue does not have any of these toxic ingredients. Also it is fast drying and has little to no fumes.

Having clean lashes is key to having longer lash retention. We recommend using micellar OIL-FREE water to clean the lashes with a fluffy eye makeup brush. Go around the eyelashes in circles until any dirt and makeup has dissolved, then rinse with water gently.

No, with proper application by the lash technicians, extensions are not to be applied too heavy on the natural lashes to avoid excessive shedding. How clients can lose natural lashes is due to improper care and maintenance, this can consist of plucking the lashes and excessive rubbing.

Ombre shading is a technique that involves tattooing pixelated pigment into the top layer of skin to create a powder-filled brow look. The beginning of the brows start from light at the front and gradually darker towards the tail, creating an ombre effect. The procedure is considered semi-permanent make-up and will fade over time.

Ombre shading is a two-step process that includes the initial session and a touch-up session. The initial session entails cleaning up brows, mapping the brows that will be fitted and customized to the client’s brow shape and face, and finally the tattooing. A touch-up session is required 6-12 weeks after the initial session to further define the tattooed eyebrows once the top layered skin has shed off and healed from the initial service. Service includes perfecting the colour, shape, or any additional touch-ups to the client’s preference, completing the powdered fill look.

Ombre brows typically last up to 2 years depending on the client. Every client retains pigment differently depending on skin type and routine, sun exposure, medical conditions, and a variety of other factors. Over time, pigment will fade so we recommend annual touch-ups for a colour boost.

The service is relatively pain-free, however clients may experience slight discomfort due to the use of a needle. The brow technician will use a safe, anaesthetic cream to help reduce any pain felt throughout the service.

We offer a wide range of colours to compliment the brows, skin tone and hair colour of each individual client.

We suggest bringing photos of the brow look you want to achieve, as well as any makeup you use to apply your brows. Our brow technician will require you to fill out a medical history form to verify you are a good candidate for the procedure.

A few additional notes to keep in mind prior to booking your appointment:

  • 1 month prior: No facial injections as it can take that long to change the structure of your facial features.
  • 2 weeks prior: No chemical peels, laser, facials or microdermabrasion.
  • 1 week prior: Avoid any blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, B6, Omega 3, Gingko Biloba, St. John's Wort, or Primrose unless medically necessary. You may resume immediately after the procedure.
  • 3 days prior: No waxing, tanning or tinting the eyebrows.
  • 48 hours prior: NO consumption of alcohol or caffeine to reduce bleeding and swelling.
  • On the day of appointment: Wash your hair and fair in advance as water cannot touch the brows after the procedure.
  • Avoid booking during your menstrual cycle as it can increase pain sensitivity.

We highly recommend following all after-care procedures to avoid pigment loss and infections.

  • Do not touch, scratch, rub or pick at semi-permanent brows while healing.
  • Do not immerse the brows under water during healing. You may rinse with a bit of water and lightly pat dry after 1 week.
  • Avoid the use of dry and wet saunas, sun exposure and tanning, sweating, or applying makeup until the brows are fully healed.
  • Do not use chemical peeling agents such as retinol, lactic acids or glycolic acids on the brows.
