Avoid these to Keep Longer Lasting Lashes
Got your lashes done? Here are the top 3 ingredients to avoid in your facial products to help keep a longer lasting lash retention.
Avoid OIL products, which includes face wash, creams, creamy eyeshadows and makeup, face masks and facial oils that can strip the lash glue. If the lash extensions held on for a week, it can be a strong indicator that oil dissolved the cyanoacrylate ingredient in the glue (given that the lash technician used great quality and great application.)
Glycerine and glycerol are another no no. Glycerine is the commercial name for glycerol, which contains 95% of it. Glycerol is an odorless and colorless compound that causes the glue to break down prematurely because it has a hydrating and smoothing factor when in use.
Lastly, avoid waterproof makeup products such as mascaras and eyeliner because to keep it waterproof, there is an oil base ingredient. In addition, waterproof makeup is difficult to wash off in which you need oil base products to cleanse them off.
